Bohai Strait

Live vessel traffic through the Bohai Strait: how many ships are in the lane now, what kind they are, and a timelapse of the last few hours.

The Bohai Strait is the only way in or out of the Bohai Sea, the shallow gulf that holds the ports of Tianjin, Dalian, Yingkou and Caofeidian. It runs between the Liaodong and Shandong peninsulas, and the Miaodao islands divide it into a series of channels, of which the northern one is deepest and carries most of the through traffic. Ferries work across it constantly between Dalian and Yantai.
