Terms and Conditions

Effective October 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of the VesselFlow website at vesselflows.com (the “Site”), operated by Caseadri LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The VesselFlow iPhone app has its own terms, linked at the end of this page.

The Site

The Site is free to use and needs no account. We may change, add or remove features, and the Site may be unavailable from time to time, without notice.

Vessel data is not for navigation

The Site shows vessel positions, voyage details and ship information from AIS (Automatic Identification System) broadcasts and third-party providers. It is provided for interest and information only, and it may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on it for navigation, collision avoidance, safety of life at sea or any operational maritime decision. We make no promise that any vessel data is accurate, complete or current.

Acceptable use

You may use the Site for any lawful purpose. You must not:

• scrape, harvest or bulk-download vessel data or other content from the Site or its services by automated means, or redistribute or resell it, without our written permission;
• get around, disable or interfere with the Site’s security checks, rate limits or other protections;
• overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or its data;
• use the Site in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights.

Ownership

The Site’s design, software, text and the VesselFlow name and logo belong to Caseadri LLC. The basemap is © OpenStreetMap contributors, served by OpenFreeMap. Vessel photographs belong to their photographers and are shown with the credit and licence they were provided under. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of, or a licence to reuse, any of it beyond viewing the Site.

Photographs you submit

The Site lets you submit photographs of vessels and report photographs you believe are wrong or inappropriate. Everything you submit is called “Your Content” below.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not submit content that is obscene, hateful, harassing, violent, deceptive or unlawful, or that infringes anyone’s rights. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and a person who submits it may lose the ability to contribute.

By submitting a photograph you confirm that:

• you took it yourself, or otherwise hold all the rights needed to grant the licence below;
• publishing it will not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• it shows the vessel you attached it to, to the best of your knowledge;
• it contains no nudity, violence, hateful or harassing material, or anything unlawful; and
• the credit name you give is one you are entitled to use, and is not offensive, misleading or an impersonation of anyone else.

The licence you grant. You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant Caseadri LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to store, reproduce, resize, re-encode, publish, display and distribute it on the Site, in the VesselFlow app and in material promoting VesselFlow, with the credit name you gave. “Perpetual and irrevocable” covers copies already published or distributed; it does not stop you asking for a photograph to be taken down, and we will honour that request. No payment is due for this licence.

Review. We are not obliged to publish anything. Every submission is reviewed before it can appear, review may be assisted by automated screening, and a submission may be declined for any reason. We may resize and re-encode a photograph to publish it, may correct or decline a credit name, and may remove any published photograph at any time.

Reports. Reporting a photograph hides it immediately, before anyone reviews it; it is then removed for good or restored. Please report only photographs you genuinely believe are wrong or inappropriate. Reports are limited to a number per day, and reports not made in good faith may be disregarded.

If these rules are broken, we may remove Your Content and decline further submissions from your browser. We normally do this only when the content is clearly unsuitable or the problem repeats, and you can contact us to ask for that to be reconsidered.

Copyright complaints

If you believe a photograph on the Site infringes your copyright, report it and choose “Used without my permission”, which hides it immediately, or contact us. Use Contact us in the site menu, or email support@vesselflows.com. Please identify the photograph, the work you say it infringes and your relationship to that work, and state that you believe in good faith its use is not authorised. Photographs subject to a valid complaint are deleted permanently.

Other websites and services

The Site links to, and relies on, services we do not control, such as the App Store, the map tile service and the providers named in our privacy policy. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms and policies apply to them.

Suspension

We may suspend or block access to the Site, or to features such as photograph submission, at any time and without notice, including if you break these terms.

No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that its information is accurate or reliable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Caseadri LLC and its suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to 100 US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions or limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Where that is so, they apply to the greatest extent the law permits.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo, and that you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be applied as far as the law allows and the rest will stay in effect. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. If these terms are translated, the English version prevails.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use the Site after that means you accept it.
