Korea Strait

Live vessel traffic through the Korea Strait: how many ships are in the lane now, what kind they are, and a timelapse of the last few hours.

The Korea Strait lies between the southern end of the Korean peninsula and the Japanese island of Kyushu, and it is the way north out of the East China Sea. The islands of Tsushima stand in the middle of it and divide it into two channels, the wider of them on the Japanese side. Busan sits at its northwestern corner, so ships merely passing through share the approaches with one of the largest container ports in the world.
